All forwarding to/from ARPA via sri-unix has stopped indefinitely. They are changing machines, changing systems, changing net interfaces, changing mail processing programs, and just about everything else. It is not clear when or if services will be restored, or to what extent. I'd start looking for another forwarding agent just to be safe if I were you. --Lauren--

The brl-tgr has begun forwarding ARPA mailling lists that we host on our machines, replacing the gateway at SRI-UNIX. The lists currently being forwarded are: info-c info-cpm info-hams (actually on Simtel-20) info-micro info-music info-unix unix-wizards The gateway is getting steadily better as time goes on. My major problem now is to try and deal with return addresses. I will be happy to forward other mailling lists as well (two way news interconnect). It will still be a little while before mail replies work. On a related topic, I am experimenting with an Internet domain server and should be in a position to start serving up UUCP domain information to the Internet in a few weeks. -Doug- Douglas P.
