I am using X11R3 xterm with the Visionware X-server on a PC clone running Windows-386 and am having several difficulties which I hope someone can help with. 1. I do not seem to be able to change the function key mapping using xmodmap. What I want is for the F1-F4 keys to give out the vt100 PF1-PF4 strings and the following command line did no good: xmodmap -e "keycode 112 = Escape O P" xenv still tells me that there is only one character in the XlookupString and that character shows up as an O on the screen. 2. I am trying to find a mapping for a single quote but don`t know the keysym name or the default keycode numbers. Where are these documented? 3. Occasionally my whole PC just stops accepting keyboard input although the cursor is still moveable by the mouse no events are transmitted across the network. Any Ideas??? A reboot of the PC is usually necessary to recover from this condition. Thanks in advance for any assistance Dick Hacking, Unisys/Convergent
