Under X11R4 (Sun 4/60GX, SunOS 4.0.3), twm complains that xlock illegally changes the colormap. The message I see in my console window after exiting xlock is: /usr/bin/X11/twm: client illegally changed colormap (i = 0, j = -1 Is there a fix for this? I suspect it's an ICCCM violation or misunderstanding. I looked through the headers of the official patches, but didn't see anything that looked like a fix. Perhaps I missed it, however. My understanding is that that message indicates that twm detected a client calling XInstallColormap, which the ICCCM says is an action reserved to window managers. I have no idea what i and j represent, nor can I offer any further suggestions about xlock, since I never have anything to do with it myself. der Mouse old: mcgill-vision!mouse new: mouse@larry.mcrcim.mcgill.edu p |p
