A couple weeks ago, I posted a question about Save_Under and didn't get or see any replies. Did anybody answer this question? I have three windows, a parent window and two children. The child windows are created with Save_Under enabled. When the child windows are unmapped, if they overlay each other, save_under works and the bottom child window is restored automatically and does not get an expose event. This does not work for the parent window however. The overlayed part of the parent is not restored and it does get expose events. Is there an explanation for this? I worked around this by making all three windows children of a dummy parent and then save_under works properly.
