[comp.windows.x] How can I determine the size of an Xaw viewport widget

rb@tnoibbc.UUCP (Rene Balkenende) (04/11/90)

I've got a Xaw viewport widget containing a form widget. The form widget
contains e.g. five command widgets. How can I tell the viewport to view
just three of the five command widgets? The manual tells me that the default
size of the viewport before it is realized is the width and/or height of the
form. I don't want that. I'd like to view just three of the five commands.

Is it possible to fill the form with e.g. three commands, realize it and
append the last two commands? How?

Must I specify the height and width of the viewport in pixels? If
that's the case how can I determine the exact height in pixels of the form
containing three command widgets.

Is there someone that can help me with a code fragment that solves my problem?
