[comp.windows.x] 85dpi Fonts Needed for Xtex

FR197501@ysub.ysu.edu (Phillip Smith) (05/04/90)

I need to get fonts for the xtex previewer (for display on an NCD19). The
documentation mentioned they were available on expo.lcs.mit.edu and
a.cs.uiuc.edu but I could not locate them. Can anyone provide these?
Please respond by mail.

You can get 85dpi fonts in BDF format from foobar.colorado.edu, in
pub/Bdf. There are two scripts that convert the compressed BDF files
into either compressed SNF (BDFZtoSNFZ) or compressed PCF (BDFZtoPCFZ)
for Ultrix UWS 2.2 hosts.

For Ultrix UWS2.2 user, there is a completely ``packaged'' binary
distribtion called

	xtex-dec-3100-uws2.2.tar.Z

that contains the binary & compressed PCF fonts. This installation
eliminates problems of X11R4 for RISC DECstation users. There is a
Makefile.
