X11-R4 did not work an a Sun4/330-GXP (eg. Xsun did not support the cgnine device). It did not help writing "xinit -- -dev /dev/cgnine0". Did anyone have a fix to this prroblem? X11-R4 works on my GX and CXP Suns. Sven-Ove Westberg, CAD, University of Lulea, S-951 87 Lulea, Sweden. Tel: +46-920-91677 (work) +46-920-48390 (home) Internet: sow@cad.luth.se

I tried creating a cgtwo0 device and then start the server using xinit -- -dev cgtwo0 without any success, as suggested in the man page for Xsun. I get a message saying... Fatal server bug! no screens found XIO: fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe) on X server "(null)" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining. The connection was probably broken by a server shutdown or KillClient. Do I need to reboot my machine before I retry it. I have no trouble running X11R4 on my sparcstation 1 (SUN 4/60 GX) with the device cgsix0. hemant BITNET: V092QGHG@UBVMS.BITNET |Hemant W.
