In the "Frequently Asked Questions about X with Answers [long monthly
posting]" (message <1990Apr27.204217.5788@ICS.COM>), you'll find:
> 21) Where can I get a PostScript previewer for X?
In general, people, before posting to comp.windows.x, please do read
the "Frequently Asked Questions" posting.
Perhaps the maintainers of the mailing lists/exploders should email a
copy of the questions file when adding people to a mailing list or
local redistribution. (Or just a terse "read the FAQ when it comes
around before posting" welcome message) It might be a little more work,
but it might save us from some of the oft-repeated questions.
You can ftp a copy of the Frequently Asked Questions from
cs.toronto.edu as doc/x.questions. (Perhaps XUG should maintain a
copy on expo as well)
Thanks,
Mark.

Digital workstations come with a PostScript previewer (and these days with a PostScript extension to X as well). These use Adobe Display PostScript. There is also at least one PostScript previewer floating around in source form; as I use Digital workstations, I've never gone out to try to see how well works. Maybe someone else can comment from first hand knowledge on them. - Jim
