I'm just about to start designing a VERY simple spreadsheet application within X and wonder if some kind soul out there has any hints or pointers so that I don't run down a blind alley. I've coded a spreadsheet in sunview (a long time ago) and found I had to allocate a lot of space for virtual cell store. This can't be the way to go since I should only need space for those cells that are "on screen" (I'd like to dynamically allocate as I scroll).
