I am running OpenWindows 1.0 (or perhaps 1.0.1), but I have substituted the PD olwm from the UUNET archives for the default window manager, pswm. [So that I can run in X11ONLY mode and get better performance with only 8MB] [This is on a Sun 386i, if that makes a difference] My current problem is that ehen I select Exit from the root menu, everything shuts down properly *except* the xnews server. This is a real bummer, since I must then rlogin from another machine and kill xnews to get my login prompt back. So, what is the protocol by which the window manager is supposed to tell the server to shut down? I know that it is possible, since pswm does it. [I really hope that this is *not* a NeWS-only function] ----------------------- uunet!tdatirv!swf (Stanley Friesen) swf@tdatirv.UUCP
