[comp.windows.x] Problem with X11R3 Xterm on SunOS 4.0

I'm trying to compile X11R3 xterm on a Sun 3, running sunos 4.0.3

When it runs I get the error message 

X Error:  BadValue, integer parameter out of range for operation
  Request Major code 2 ()
  Request Minor code
  ResourceID 0x20030
  Error Serial #57
  Current Serial #58
	  
I've tracked it down to line 1274 of main.c:

XtRealizeWidget (screen->TekEmu ? XtParent(tekWidget) :
	XtParent(term));
	
	
From this it seems that the initialize routine of the xterm widget is 
falling over.  Does anyone know what's wrong?
