|Someone on the net mentioned that a version of Interviews is being worked |on that is either Open Look or Motif. If this is true, when will it be |available and where? Quest Systems Corporation sells what they call QUEST/InterViews C++ Toolkit which is supposed to be switchable. The blurb on the sheet I have says: "QUEST/InterViews offers an object oriented interface using the advanced features of C++ 2.0. It features a runtime switchable GUI using a single API. It also features over ten applications including a C++ class browser, object oriented drawing editor and sample demos. QUEST/InterViews is a commercialized version of Stanford InterViews environment used by more than 2,000 users worldwide since 1988. The API is 100% compatible with the standard release but allows the applications, built using QUEST/InterViews, to runtime switch between a Motif or an OPEN LOOK 2D or 3d style interface." Be aware that there are licensing considerations (ie per-copy-sold fees) if you use their version of InterViews. I'm not sure exactly what the fee schedule is, however. jim frost saber software jimf@saber.com I called the above number and they FAX'ed me 5 pages on the Quest/InterViews product. It's exactly as you say above - InterViews' API with the ability to switch between Motif, OpenLook 2D and 3D and Mac GUI's. Unfortunately, they only offer the Sun binary (approx. $1300) and the source is rather expensive ($25K). Too expensive for my tastes.
