I need to implement a dialog box in XView. That is, I need something
that I can call, e.g.,
foobar("Prompt string");
that will block and at the same time cause a dialog box to pop up with
"Prompt string" in it. When a response has been entered, "foobar"
returns and somehow communicates the string response to the calling
routine. Something like notices with text input...
I'm probably looking in the wrong places, but I can't get the blocking
action to work. I've tried grabbing the server (ala notices), doing
tricky things with event processing, etc.
Can anyone provide me with some clues? Thanks. I'll post this as a
summary.
