I wish to capture graphics generated by X clients running on a Sun 3/160
(os 4.0.3) and displayed on a Macintosh using Apple's MacX display server
program. To do this, a client must perform a cut/paste operation on the
desired window, and then MacX will duplicate the operation in the Macintosh
clipboard so that the image can now be transferred to other Mac applications.
Unfortunately, the clients I am using do not have the ability to transfer
anything to the cut/paste buffer. Is there a separate client that can do
this operation on a desired window containing graphics? If so, can I ftp
it from somewhere? xclipboard does, but only for text.
Not permitting the user to copy directly from within MacX seems like a
serious omission by the developers of the program, but I need to get these
pictures sooner rather than later.
