[comp.windows.x] Problems

randy@uokmax.ecn.uoknor.edu (Longshot) (07/07/90)

I am trying to build X11R4, with all 12 patches, on our Sun 3, running SunOS4.
The problem seems to be with make finding the command 'imake' in the directory
structure. The output from `make World':

	rm -f Makefile.bak; mv Makefile Makefile.bak
./config/imake -I./config -DTOPDIR=. -DCURDIR=.

Note that, just before the errors begin to spool down the screen, that make
claimed to have not found `.././config/imake'. To my best following, it seems
that the cwd at this point is mit/config, so .././config should have been right
in that directory, where imake was just previously built and thus resides. I
am using GNU make 3.58. Any ideas would be appreciated.
