We are using Graphons with V.32 modems and we find that the terminal is much more useable at straight 9600 with MNP turned off (no error correction or data compression). This is of course dangerous since the Graphon expects an error free transmission, but we find with MNP5 on that the movements of windows and menu selections are very jerky, like there's a delay as the data is packetized. Is this normal? The performance at 9600 is nice, but at 19.2 with MNP5 no one here likes it. Any info would be much appreciated. We're using the Optimax 200 with the ARK DM424 V.32 modems sold by AT&T Paradyne. -- -- Jack Dixon, AT&T { ...!att!vogon!jcd, jcd@vogon.att.com }
