[comp.windows.x] Xterm cursor

ianr@syma.sussex.ac.uk (Ian Rogers) (06/30/89)

From man xterm:

>X DEFAULTS
> The program understands all of the core X Toolkit resource
> names and classes as well as:
>
> ...
>
> pointerShape (class Cursor)
> Specifies the name of the shape of the pointer. The
> default is ``xterm.''

... and the only other one that seems to work is ``arrow''. Is it possible to
get any of the other cursors from the Cursor Font to work as the xterm
pointerShape, or am I just misguided? (I would love to have ``gumby'' :-)

Thanks,

Ian Rogers

is there any way to have my xterm cursor flash? I've got an application which
has some inverse fields (dbman V) and sometimes it is difficult to locate the
cursor.
