I'd like to see the default mouse bindings for xterm change so that in order to dump the primary selection, you have to press AND RELEASE the middle button in the xterm window. Currently, once you press the middle button, you're stuck with a selectionful of text even if you try to abort by moving the mouse out of the window before you release the button. Also, some way to abort a paste operation after you've started it accidentally would be really helpful. I'm sure many other readers have experienced the same feeling of helplessness as page after page of accidentally-pasted text scrolls unstoppably by.
