Hi Folks, I was testing xdm for the first time and everytime I kill xdm the console gets locked up. Thatis, every time I try to login th it would do nothing but scroll up. I couldn't type anything. Is there any solution to this? Also how can I kill xdm from x11 (we are running X11R3) Thanks in advance -Krishna

On a DECstation3100, I have to type Control-Q in order to have keyboard input reach the console login prompt after killing xdm. > Also how can I kill xdm from x11 (we are running X11R3) Read the xdm man page. In R4 you can create a binding to the abort-display action. I don't know whether that action exists in the R3 version of xdm. Donna Converse converse@expo.lcs.mit.edu
