Well, in typical university fashion, there's suddenly a little money that has to be spent immediately. Yep, says right there in section three, "This money must be spent before anyone has a chance to evaluate the options." I figure we should have some decent X tools around here to make users' and programmers' lives easier, and I seem to be hearing more about Motif than anything else. I need a summary of what I'm buying if I buy Motif. I'd also like to have some idea of what it'll cost me to upgrade to the R4 version (at least, I think it's true that only the R3 version is currently available). Finally, if someone wants to tell me why I should buy XXX instead of Motif, please tell me what XXX is and why it's preferable. Direct answers, pointers to files, or anything else useful much appreciated. Please email since I'll bet most readers of this group already know what Motif is all about.
