I am porting a system that was written in very old version of X. I have eight fonts in snf format (but not in bdf format) that I need to use in XV11R4, and Sun OpenWindows. I seem to remember a program for converting between different font formats, but I didn't find it in the MIT distribution, so I don't remember where I can find it; or even if it will convert the snf format back to bdf or to the format needed by OpenWindows. The fonts needed are: cmr7.bdf, cnt57.bdf, helv12.bdf, helv12b.bdf, micr25.bdf, oldeng.bdf, rogue-b.bdf, and rogue-n.bdf. Obviously, I could do without the helvetica fonts, since these are available currently, just under a new name. Could anyone assist by... 1) Pointing the way to a font conversion program that handles bdf, snf and whatever it is that Open Window uses; 2) Sending these fonts to me in bdf format and/or in the format needed by Sun's Open Windows. Please respond directly to schultz@aic.nrl.navy.mil Thank you very much. Alan C. Schultz Navy Center for Applied Research In Artificial Intelligence Naval Research Laboratory (202) 767-2684
