[comp.windows.x] debugger that works with xview

rafiq@ccu.umanitoba.ca (Salik "slick" Rafiq) (07/25/90)

I need a debugger that will work with code written
using XView. We only have xdbx here and the pointer just
sits at 'xv_main_loop(frame);' which is not very helpful.
Is there a debugger out there that will work with XView?
Or am I doing something wrong? Could someone help me
pleeeeease!

Thanks for any help
Salik

We don't use xdbx, rather we are using Saber-C and Sun's
dbxtool (from OpenWindows) and don't have any trouble with
debugging. Also, you'll be able to debug XView clients better
if you use the -fullscreendebug command-line arguement. This
arg will avoid server lockups if you happen to put a break
point in the wrong place :-)
