Hello,

I was charged by my "boss" (the coordinator of our Laboratory) to
invite all the ones that are currently working in Graphics Computing
to participate of the First IEEE/EPUSP Journey in Visual Computing.
The event will be held in December (Summer time in Brasil) and is
open to all the professionals and researchers that want to expose
their jobs, acknowledgements, etc...

IEEE/EPUSP Journey in Visual Computing

EPUSP, 4 to 7th december, 1990

The Escola Politecnica da USP and the IEEE -  Institute  of  the
Electrical and Electronic Engineers - Section Sul Brasil, schedu
led for this year the EPUSP/IEEE Journey in Visual Computing, as
a way to integrate researchers, engineers,   professionals   and
students in the areas of:

        * Image processing.
        * Computational vision.
        * Applications and Correlated subjects.


The Journey will be constituted of invited researchers   talks,
tecnical presentations (tutorials, reports and communications),
hardware and software exhibits. There will also be introductory
courses in the areas of interest.

Call for Papers

The organization of the event will accept works on the proposed
themes, through abstracts of the main text and the curriculum
of the authors. If the abstract is aproved, the author will be
contacted and will be asked to send the complete text for insertion
in the proceedings. The author may also be invited to present
his work in the event.

Instructions to the authors:

The abstract must be within one typed page and must be classified
in one of the four categories:

	* Tutorial	- evolution and state of art of a topic
			  related to the event (complete work
			  must be within 20 typed pages).
	* Article	- acknowledgements and researches in
			  the area of the event. (no more than
			  10 typed pages).
	* Technical
	  Communication - report of recent results of projects
			  that are currently being developed (
			  no more than 4 pages). 

The authors must send four (4) copies of the abstract (only one of
them with author's iddentification) and one copy of the curriculums.

Deadlines:

	Abstracts must be sent until: August,18th 1990.

	The authors will be informed
	about acceptation until     : August, 30th 1990.

	The authors must send the
	complete works until        : October, 15th 1990.
