I have pulled the source for xdbx2.1 from expo.lcs.mit.edu and compilied it on the DECstation 3100's we have at North Carolina State University with MIPS CC. This version of xdbx works worse that the previous version of xdbx. Before when you asked for help, it meerly threw you into some bizarre terminal mode and displayed the dbx help file with the appropriate control characters of what looked to be a vt100 terminal. Now however it only results in the program crashing with an "Illegal Instruction" call. The files button is the same way; now it crashes consistantly instead of once every so often. I didn't test much farther than this since this code was going to be used by incoming freshmen and I can't see giving them a program that crashes in the help command. Did anyone else experience these symptoms or did they get this to work correctly when compiled? Once again, the machine this is running on is a DECstation 3100, under Ultrix 3.1d, and MIPS CC. The Xserver is R4. Tim Lowman (tkl@osl.csc.ncsu.edu) ====================================-------*-------=========================== - Tim Lowman | (tkl@osl.csc.ncsu.edu) | Sys. Prog. I @ NCSU Comp.
