If anyone has had success compiling X11R4 on an HP 9000 (300) with HP/UX 6.2, I'd appreciate hearing from you. There seem to be problems with this particular version of HP/UX; it's trying to use features (such as include files) which apparently do not exist with 6.2. mit/config/hp.cf makes a couple of decisions based on having either 6.2 or greater, or pre-6.2., but they're not working right...
