I am just learning X11 Xlib, and I came across a question which I can't figure out the answer to. If you draw text on the screen with XDrawImageString, how can you erase it? I have been using GXCopy to draw things, and GXCopyInverted to erase them (for example, lines and arcs). Why doesn't XDrawImageString take the function from the GC and use it? Nearly every other XDraw... function does. Is there an alternate function which lets one erase text previously drawn? Please e-mail replies, as I don't usually read this newsgroup. --- Erik Talvola talvola@janus.berkeley.edu +----------------------------+ !
