I pulled xdbx.tar.Z from expo.lcs.mit.edu, which is for X11R3. When I tryed to compile it, Paned.h isn't found, for the very reason, it doens't exist in our X distribution. It also didn't exist on an X distribution on a public ftp site qed.rice.edu (128.42.4.38). After linking VPaned.h to Paned.h XawTextPosition was an unresolved type in defs.h. My question to you is: What X11R3 are you using? What am I doing wrong? Just a few thoughts. I find xdbx to be a fine piece of software, I use 1.1 frequently. Hope you can help me. Thanks in advance. +-----------------+---------------------------+-----------------------------+ | Bill Poitras | Polygen Corporation | {princeton mit-eddie | | (bill) | Waltham, MA USA | bu sunne}!polygen!bill | | | | bill@polygen.com | +-----------------+---------------------------+-----------------------------+

Thanks in advance. > Though the README file in xdbx.tar.Z from expo says it's for X11R3, it actually is for X11R4. If you are running R4, you can grab xdbx2.1.tar.Z on expo. There used to be an xdbx2.0 source for X11R3 under oldcontrib on expo but that directroy has already been removed. Po Cheung cheung@sw.mcc.com

I've had the same problems with sources developed on R4 platforms for R3. Jim -- Jim McNealy SAS Institute Inc.
