I've noticed a couple things that might be fixable/changeable -- I wonder if others think it is worth it? 1) "Cancel" articles show up every now and then with signatures; I am guessing that the postnews process invoked by the cancel command is automatically including .signature files. This shouldn't happen on cancel messages, right? I think the presence of the extra text causes these messages to be treated as "real-text" messages and displayed and included in newsgroups instead of performing the cancel function. Has this been fixed, and just shows up from sites running old versions or unfixed new versions? Or hasn't it been noticed? 2) Over the past few months, there have been a LOT of auto-related articles showing up in net.consumers. Some are cross-posted to both net.auto and net.consumers, others are just in net.consumers. Since there is a specifically-designed net.auto, it seems wrong for any auto-related postings to be anywhere else. Is this generally agreed-upon? If so, maybe the description of net.consumers in the "groups" listing(s) could be expanded to add a line to the effect that, "Do NOT post automobile or fuel-related items in this group; use net.auto instead." Or something similar... Will
