Here is one interesting problem for all xperts: a colleague of mine wants to share mice among displays. The situation is the following: we want a working position with two workstations, and two operators. For many reasons, we insist on having two workstations and not one workstation with two screens. Sometimes, there is only one operator, and we him to access the other workstation with his mouse. This leads to a number of problems, especially on the remote server side. Some problems are related to the cursor: how could we attach a cursor to a remote device? Other problems are related to event emission. The latter could partly be solved with the XInput extension, but that extension doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have ideas for solving this puzzle?
