I have updated the version of xdbx 2.1 on expo.lcs.mit.edu to patch level 2.
-rw-rw-rw- 1 ftp 114359 Aug 24 03:34 xdbx2.1.tar.Z
If you do not want to ftp the entire distribution, the patch is also
available for ftp on expo.lcs.mit.edu, provided you have the
version of xdbx2.1 at patch level 1.
-rw-rw-rw- 1 ftp 7916 Aug 24 03:34 xdbx.patch2.Z
For those without ftp access, I am sending the source to comp.sources.x
at the same time. So, it should show up sometime later.
This patch addresses mainly bugs reported by a number of users on the net.
In particular, the patch includes
- fixes in calldbx.c to use termios instead of sgtty structure
- fixes to allow xdbx to compile with gcc
- fixes to allow xdbx to compile with Xaw library without XAW_BC defined
- fixes to make dialogue window behave correctly for all commands issued
- fixes for the use command
My thanks to the following people for providing bug fixes to xdbx:
Dana Chee (dana@thumper.bellcore.com)
Dave Gagne (daveg@fs1.ee.ubc.ca)
Arturo Perez (aperez@cvbnet.prime.com)
Manavendra Thakur (thakur@zerkalo.harvard.edu)

P.S. I do not have access to a DECstation 3100 any more. So I will not be
able to diagnose any problems with xdbx running on the DECstation 3100.razdan@phx.mcd.mot.com (anshuman razdan) (08/24/90)
Where can I get the complete source code for Xdbx. Also does it work only with bsd or does it work with SYSV also. Pl. post the info (no e-mail -- I am not set up to receive mail yet). Also helpfull would be info on how to get it from non ftp source if possible.
