[comp.windows.x] vtwm and the virtual window

thoth@reef.cis.ufl.edu (Gilligan) (08/31/90)

A few days ago someone posted some patches to vtwm that allowed you
to grab a window in the virtual screen and NOT have its upper left
corner snap to your (non-)cursor. I didn't grab them before it
expired. If someone has them, tell me and I'll get one of you to mail
it to me, or if it's short enough (<75 lines), mail it to me straight
off (I hope I don't get 15 bjillion copies).
I will test these patches and add them to the vtwm.shar.Z on
bikini.cis.ufl.edu in pub/fract. We have now added a "FloatIcons"
directive for those adventurous souls who don't want icons following
them around the display, but we have not yet implemented a way to
represent icons on the virtual. Maybe tomorrow I'll do that, or color
icons, or resources, nah.

  Coming soon to comp.sources.x:

XGunShot: spray bulletholes across your neighbor's screen. Loads of
laughs. Anyone care to help me write sound for a Sparc SLC?
