Does anybody have any information about using third party X-Terminals with VMS? I have looked at the VT1000, but they weren't much good for our users. They currently run a modified session manager on a VAXstation, which stops them from quitting the session until they have properly exited all applications they were running, but on the VT1000, they can use the `Quit' option on the VT1000 Terminal Manager and bypass that. Another problem is that after quitting the whole thing resets itself, and it takes 30 seconds before it even starts to download the fonts, so you need to wait for about a minute before you can login to another session. What we would need is an X-Terminal on which the terminal manager can be modified, preferably colour (but not absolutely necesary) and if at all possible without the delay after logging out.
