[comp.windows.x] Menu program

alberto@cs.umd.edu (Jose Alberto Fernandez R) (09/05/90)

Hi, I'm not an X11 programmer that is why I'm asking for some help.
I'm interested in find a simple program that can be used to select
options from menus to be used as on line arguments to programs.

Something like:

	qpr -q `xmenu -title Queue q1 q2 ... qn` files ...

If this command is executed, a menu will appear at your mouse and you
can select the queue you want to use for printing. This is useful when
you have resources that indicate the program to be use when you want
to print something.

Question: Is such a program available in netland?

If not, can somebody sendme the basic code to build a menu and poped
it. I have never write code using the X libraries and therefore I
don't know were to start. A simple program that pops a menu from which
you select will be fine.

Thanks in advance.

	Jose Alberto.

P.S.: I don't read this group, so please e-mail me the info.
