A few days ago I played briefly with Sun Microsystems new user interface editor on a Sun IPC (Sun's recently introduced low-end Sparc-based workstation -- by the way, if you are in the market for a workstation, look at this one very seriously). The editor looks nice, similar to NeXT's Interface Builder. I don't know what the programming interface is. I don't remember how much they charge for it but it did not seem unreasonable. I would be grateful to anybody who can answer the following questions: 1) is it usable with plain X11R4 or does it require Sun's XView or whatever their current window system is called? 2) does anybody have any experience with it? 3) has anybody written, or is writing, other user interface editors for X11, free or not?
