I wonder if it would be possible to have a variant of the Xserver that passed on requests to two (or more Xservers). It might have to ignore inputs from one display, but even so, this would allow you to work on one screen and have others watching what you are doing on another. I am sure that individual programs could be written to talk to two servers at once, but this would let you take arbitrary programs and use them in this fashion.
