[ Replace this line with nothing in particular. ] Someone has suggested that there be a moderated mail.personals mailing list. If someone will explain to me how to go about setting up the mailing list, I'll volunteer to moderate it. Someone has suggested that postings should be geographically arranged. That shouldn't be too hard. Suggestions are welcome. -bob. PS: I'd hate to see net.singles get encumbered with ads. I'd prefer it if people felt free to ask for what they want and get it. I'd feel better if people who weren't interested weren't required to pass judgement. I'll try to classify rather than censor. I *will* want to bounce defamatory or hostile mailings, so don't tempt me. {If I'd had anything to say, I'd 'v said it ... but I didn't! Did YOU?}

Well, I'll try to run a national mailing list for personals. I would suspect that out of this will come some email type pen pals, as opposed to any serious LDRs, but who really knows? There will be four lists: Men looking for men Men looking for women Women looking for men Women looking for women. To join a list, send mail to ihnp4!abnji!joinpers To send a request, specify to which list(s) you want the request sent and the text to ihnp4!abnji!personal To insure anonymity, a mailbox will be created on this machine to get replies. The mailbox will remain for 14 days. If you'd rather receive replies directly, say so in the text of the message. Messages will be sent out daily. If you want to join, let me know! -- James C.
