If the colors on my screen get "screwed" up somehow, let's say by directly displaying an image to the screen display, is there a way to get Motif or X to resisplay the screen correctly. I have the refresh and restart options defined on my root menu as follows: "Refresh" f.refresh "Restart..." f.restart ... but niether of these options resets the colors back to what I originally defined them to be. The only way for me to fix it is to get out of X completely and restart from scratch. Sunview on a color tube does reset the colors correctly from its "root menu" (this is not meant as a comparison of any kind between the windowing systems -- so don't jump down my throat). Am I doing something wrong? Can X/Motif handle this? If so, how? +---------+ | Coral | |@@@@@*@**| |@@*@@**@@| Don Dewar |*@@**@@@@| Coral Network Corporation, Marlborough, MA |@***@@@@@| Internet: don@coral.com |@@**@@@@@| Phone: (508) 460-6010 |*********| Fax: (508) 481-6258 |Networks | +---------+
