[comp.windows.x] BUG in Server with 14 fixes

I have recently compiled and installed the X11 R4 distribution with all
14 fixes from MIT. The host is a Sparc Station 1+ running SunOS 4.0.3c
using the standard "cc". The program "spaceout" dumps all kinds of
corrupted bitmaps of stars to the screen. When I run the "spaceout" on
some other R3 server or on an old R4 server (unknown number of fixes),
everything works fine.

Also, some of my applications pop back and forth between windows. All
of them seem to shift a little upward and to the left and expand in
size when an old window popped back in. We have determined that this
delta is precisely the size of the TWM parent window. Apparently, the
application tries to take into account how the current window manager
frames it. Why doesn't this happen on old R4 or R3 servers?
