Hi, I have a VAXstation 3100 with the GPX hardware in it. I am using the Xqdss server with all the latest patches (I think) and find that there is a bug in redering of text strings. If I obscure the origin of the string through a clipping box or simply by covering the first part of that particular window, the remaining visible portion of the string is trashed. The font is all broken up and often total illegible. You can reproduce this simply by covering the far left side of an xterm window and typing an ls command. As long as the left side is obscured, the strings are trashed, If you expose the origin of the strings (the left side of the xterm) and refresh the display everything goes back to normal. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a known patch??
