I'm running x11r3 and using xdm on my i386 UNIX V.3.2 ISC 2.0.2 system. My ~/.xsession files has lines like the following: xterm -fn 9x15 -fg black -bg cyan -g 80x24-0+72 -ms red -cr red & The problem is that the ksh's that are spawned do not run through the ~/.profile file. I have to do that part manually. Can someone tell my how to convince my system to make the ksh's run through the ~/.profile automatically? <> Brian Litzinger @ APT Technology Inc., San Jose, CA <> brian@apt.bungi.com {apple, sun, pyramid}!daver!apt!brian <> Disclaimer: Above are my opinions and probably wrong. <> <> "For it is the doom of men that they forget." - Merlin

I have to do that part manually. Easy! Just add -ls to the xterm options. That will give you a login shell. Good luck! -Darryl -- Darryl Wagoner darryl@lemuria.MV.COM or uunet!virgin!lemuria!darryl 12 Oak Hill Road Brookline, NH 03033 Office: 603.672.0736 Home: 603.673.0578
