i am looking for some advice. i need to write some graphical tools to manipulate two-dimensional data, as in X-Y plots. i am looking for tools which will allow me to easily display X-Y plots from raw ascii data files (automatic scaling, and all that) and then be able to let the user pick off points on this plot with the mouse, (these points to be used in further computations.) it's been a while since i've done any programming in X, and i really don't know what's available, for this kind of problem. please reply by e-mail. thanks! - dave carter@mst6.lanl.gov
