Is there a nice X color browser out there? -- Capt Patrick D. Barnes, USAF barnes@cs.nps.navy.mil NPGSCOL/Code CS/Ba (408) 646-2830 Monterey, CA 93943 FAX (408) 646-2814

Patrick,
not too sure what your definition of a color browser is,
but I've got a program called xpalette:
o Main window displays color palette, foreground and
background colors selected with mouse buttons.
Name of $fore, background color displayed and label
widget with colors set appropriately.
o Popup with scolled list of named colors, you can
select colors and asked that they be loaded into
the default colormap.
o Popup which has a bitmap-tiled background,
with $fore, background colors set from palette.
It's a counter-productivity tool - we spend more time than we
used to selecting color pairs for root patterns, menus etc :-)
Let me know if you're interested, and I'll mail it to you.
Neil
