I was wondering if anyone has available a "users guide" to X. In particular, we run the MIT distribution on Suns. A new user usually has a few dozen basic questions about how things work, mostly with regard to the various init files and basic client programs. What I have in mind is something fairly brief, and designed just to get a new users going. While there is no shortage of X documentation, most of it is at a fairly detailed level. Thanks! -Dave

There is a reasonably nice book by Niall Mansfield; unfortunately, its fist edition is not marketed in the United States. Niall is working on the second edition (R4 based) which will be (once it finally gets out) distributed in this country. - Jim
