The new X11 support for gnuplot 2.01 has a problem on DEC DS 2100/3100's running Ultrix 3.1 UWS 2.2. The problem does not happen on DS2100/3100's running MIT R4. I have been unable to find such a system here locally at the university to diagnose the problem and/or find a workaround. Would *greatly* appreciate any assistance from xperts with access to one of these systems and an hour or two to spend installing gnuplot 2.01 and troubleshooting the problem. The problem is that only the 1st, 3rd, 5th, ... plots requested by the user are displayed. The code in question is a reasonably small (250 line) outboard terminal driver for gnuplot that uses the X Toolkit and Athena label widget. It has worked without problem on over a dozen other unix X11 R3/R4 platforms. Gnuplot 2.01 is available from cs.duke.edu in pub/gnuplot2.01.tar.Z. A modified version of the outboard driver with a build option for either Athena or Motif is available from uxc.cso.uiuc.edu in pub/xgnuplot/motif.shar.
