I would like to see an example of a X11R4 client that does just about anything relatively simple in a window or on the root window, that is an excellent example of how to organize a compilation that ends up working well on any machine to the best extent possible. It needs to be compilable in any subdirectory such as one under /tmp and by a user that is not root. I want to use that as the basis of organizing clients I will write.
