[comp.windows.x] panner buttons in tvtwm

norbert@rwthinf.UUCP (Norbert Kiesel) (10/10/90)

Hello,
does anybody know how to redefine the actions for button presses in the
panner window? I'm specially interested in rebinding Button3. I'd like
the following behaviour:

Button1 : p|v : move virtual desktop (same as now)
Button2 : v : move window (same as now)
Button3 : v : warp to window (window full displayed on virtual desktop)
Button3 : p : center virtual desktop around point

with ``p'' indicating the cursor is in the panner and ``v'' indicating the
cursor is in one of the small virtual windows.

After a short look at the sources, it seems the bindings are hard-wired.
Is this really nescessary?

		so long

You can't currently do it.

No it isn't nescessary, it was just easier given the time I spent and the
motivation I was able to muster up. Code donations are always appreciated :-)
