Hello, I've just built X11R4 on an Alliant FX8/A with patches 1-18 applied to the distribution as a whole. Everything seems to have worked fine, I can run twm, xterm and several other clients with no problems, but both xcalc and xclipboard behave strangely. In xcalc, the individual buttons and display are not visible. Instead, a single large rectangle with a 0 and a g take up most of the display, with a partially obscured rectangle visible to the right of the main rectangle. If the mouse is clicked within the main rectangle, a rectangular region within the main rectangle is inverted for the duration of the mouse click, said region including the 0 but not the g. Keyboard input does not visibly affect the xcalc display in any way. I understand this points to an error in the build of one of the widget sets, but if this has happened to anyone else, I'd appreciate hearing about it to narrow my search. Thank you much for any leads, Jonathan Abbey broccol@csdfx8a.arlut.utexas.edu Applied Research Laboratories The University of Texas at Austin

The application class default files were not installed correctly. The xmh application will display a message in a dialog box if this has happened. I think this is addressed in item 2 of the ERRATA file, available separately (not bundled in with the R4 code) by anonymous ftp.
