Does anyone out there have a summary of the differences between R3 and R4? If anybody does, please tell us. We'd like to know! :-) :-) :-) Since R4 isn't due out until "the end of the year" (ish), it's a little premature for us to try to announce a lot of details.

We would like to get the Release 4 of X11 for our network of Suns and
Sequent S27 (We = Automated Reasoning Project, Australian National
University, Canberra, Australia). We already run R3. I've heard that
the Release 4 was to become available in December, i.e., now. Because
I am unable to ftp to expo.lcs.mit.edu (getting connection timeout
all the time), I may have to buy the distribution on tape. Please
inform about the procedure (i.e. whom we should write the cheque to,
and for how much). We can read either QIC-24 cartridges (no QIC-11) or
standard 1/2 inch tapes.

Is there somewhere I can get the R4 release by anonymous UUCP? Is it
still possible to get it from daisy?? I have been trying to get in
contact with the person there, but I haven't succeeded yet. If someone
can give me access I would really appreciate it.
