Hi there,
I have an application running under DECwindows. Lately I've installed some
popup-menus so that the commands most frequently used can be called faster
than from the menu-bar.
Now these popup-menus seem to have unexpected side-effects:
1.) I can't change the default-button of the masks in which I use the
popup-menus any more. I set it with XtSetValues, and it used to work
fine, until I've installed the popups. The program crashes when the
callback-procedure that contains the XtSetValues-call is terminated
and the control handed over to the main-loop again. It is reconstructable
that the crash only occurs if I have installed the popup.
I have no insight in the DECwindows-toolkit internals, so I have
no idea what causes this problem.
2.) An even weirder side-effect is the following, also reconstructably a
consequense of installing popup-menus:
In another mask (also a popup_dialog_box, I forgot to say), which itself
does not contain any popups, I use list-boxes. In some situations I
select an entry in the list-box from the application, calling
DwtListBoxSelectItem. Now in this procedure, too, the program crashes,
and again I have to say that I don't have the foggiest idea on why it
would do so.
Has anyone had similar problems with popups in DECwindows, and if so, could
this person be so kind and tell me what I'm doing wrong? (I'd never suspect
for even a second that DECwindows might be doing something wrong...)
Any help on the issue would be very much appreciated!
Hope to hear from ya, Fredi ;-(
