We have an Alliant FX/40 running Concentrix 5.5.02. Recently we installed X11R4.18. A minor problem is that while emacs works properly with TERM set to vt220 (or most vtxxx values), the arrow keys don't work when TERM is set to xterm. Is the best thing to do go out and change the xterm arrow key entries to match those of the vt220 in /etc/termcap? Would it be better to replace Alliant's xterm entry with a different (newer?) one entirely? Any suggestions? Thanks to all who reply. regards, ric steinberger ric@ace.sri.com
